By definition, terroir is the interaction between soil, climate, and grape variety.
The different types of soil and altitudes present within the Estate allow the cultivation of the same vines with specific characteristics that are completely different from each other, so that the same native or international varieties can recreate different organoleptic nuances in the wines.
The Giardino di Sicilia, or the vineyards of the Estate, can therefore be divided into two areas based on soils and altitude:
• North 300-400 m a.s.l.: the clayey soils, thanks to a moderate temperature range, give the wines power, structure and soft tannins.
• North 400-550 m a.s.l.: the sandy soils with a pronounced temperature range give the wines freshness and intense aromas.
