Silvio Centonze was born in Marsala in 1973. He has a winemaking diploma from Marsala’s Istituto Tecnico Agrario (1993) and in 1996 he graduated in Oenology and Viticulture from the University of Padua.
During his university studies and until 1999 he was engaged in important research and development, working for a leading company in the field of winemaking services, and was also a consultant for several Sicilian wineries.
Since 1999 he has been chief winemaker at Tenuta Rapitalà, a leading Sicilian winery and part of Gruppo Italiano Vini.
Rapitalà philosophy in the expert hands of winemaker Centonze and his staff is to safeguard the flavours and aromas of Sicily, without overlooking the elegance demanded by the most refined palates.
