Frascati is a white wine made with Malvasia Bianca di Candia, Malvasia del Lazio, Trebbiano Toscano, Greco (Trebbiano Giallo), Bombino Bianco, and Bellone.Bombino and Bellone, once highly popular white varietals, are now almost extinct.
The highest percentage is Malvasia di Candia, then Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia del Lazio.
Malvasia varieties arrived from Greece in ancient times and flourished in the Frascati hills, finding ideal climate and soils.
