Frascati is a white wine made with Malvasia Bianca di Candia, Malvasia del Lazio, Trebbiano Toscano, Greco (Trebbiano Giallo), Bombino Bianco, and Bellone.Bombino and Bellone, once highly popular white varietals, are now almost extinct.

The highest percentage is Malvasia di Candia, then Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia del Lazio.

Malvasia varieties arrived from Greece in ancient times and flourished in the Frascati hills, finding ideal climate and soils.

Trebbiano varieties are perhaps the largest family of cultivars.They are of very ancient origin and Pliny, in his Naturalis Historia, mentions the “Vinum Trebulanum” made in Capua.Fontana Candida estates are planted toMalvasia Bianca di Candia, Malvasia del Lazio, Trebbiano Toscano, Greco (Trebbiano Giallo).
