The origin of the name Recioto is uncertain and it may come from the dialect word “recie” (ears) used to describe the sweetest side clusters of grapes, or from the Latin “recemus” meaning cluster, or even from the Late Medieval Latin word “reds”, meaning clusters detached and hung to dry. This Recioto della Valpolicella is part of a history whose roots are lost in time and continues a tradition of unmistakable quality that began in 1883.
