Soave Classico

A volcanic soul

The Soave Classico zone is in a hilly area east of the city of Verona and its soils and typical wines are the result of intense volcanic activity and the presence of the sea millions of years ago.

The Bolla winery has been producing wines since the 1970s from grapes coming from the slopes of Monte Castellaro, a volcanic crater with 21 hectares of vineyards on ground consisting of basalt rock and pumice stone originating from the time the volcano was active. The wine from this terroir has typical pronounced minerality and sapidity along with ageing potential.

The Castellaro vineyard is represented by Bolla with its Soave Classico Superiore «Tufaie».
