The Winemaker Paolo Nardo
Born in 1978 in Portogruaro, near Venice, Paolo Nardo graduated in Viticulture and Oenology from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Udine.
His professional development has encompassed every agronomic aspect of grape growing and winemaking, taking him to some of Italy’s most renowned wine-producing regions, from Sicily to Umbria and Tuscany. Throughout his career, he has gained significant experience in the management and production of white wines and sparkling wines, as well as in the maturation of red wines in both large oak casks and barriques.
Since 2017, he has been at the helm of Bigi, the winery with the longest-standing tradition and history in Orvieto.
In 2026, he also took over the management of the Fontana Candida winery.
